As someone who used to call Chicago home, returning to this city is always special. There’s something about the familiar skyline, the bustling streets, and reconnecting with friends that brings me so much joy. This time, I decided to stay at The Hoxton, and it made the visit even more memorable.

 

From the moment I walked in, I was drawn to the hotel’s unique design. The lobby has this incredible, welcoming vibe, with a massive fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. It’s the kind of place where you want to cozy up with a coffee or a cocktail (depending on the hour!) and just soak in the atmosphere. The rooms continue that stylish yet comfortable design; I especially loved the in-room bathrooms, which were modern, spacious, and perfectly designed for a relaxing stay. I even texted my husband during the weekend, telling him we have to stay here next time because I knew he’d love the vibe just as much as I did!

 

Location is everything when you’re in Chicago, and The Hoxton truly delivers. Situated right next to Fulton Market, it’s walkable to some of my favorite neighborhoods, restaurants, and shops. If you love exploring on foot and discovering vibrant spots around every corner, this is the perfect place to stay. I spent my days popping into nearby boutiques and my nights catching up with friends at beloved spots, all just a short stroll away.

 

And if you don’t feel like leaving the hotel, The Hoxton has you covered with three fantastic dining options. There’s a basement bar that feels like a hidden gem, a rooftop bar by the talented Stephanie Izard that’s perfect for drinks with a view, and a main restaurant that serves everything from brunch to dinner. Each spot has its own vibe, and all are celebrated in Chicago’s food scene.

 

Whether you’re visiting Chicago for the first time or returning like I do, The Hoxton is the perfect mix of style, comfort, and location. It gave me a beautiful blend of nostalgia and new experiences, making this trip back to my old city feel like a true getaway.
